Field groups and availability

Kali Forms organizes fields into four groups: Standard fields, Advanced, Payments, and Buttons. This article explains what each field is designed for and whether it requires Kali Forms Pro or an extension.

Open the field catalog

Open a form in the Kali Forms builder.
Select Add field at the top of the builder.
Use Search to find a field by name, or select a group to browse its fields.

Selecting a field adds it to the form. Open Field settings after adding it to configure its label, validation, options, and other available properties.

Standard fields

Standard fields cover common text, choice, date, and content requirements. They are available in Kali Forms Free.

Payment fields

Payment fields are available when Kali Forms Pro has the Payments extension enabled. They support product selection, totals, discounts, donations, and payment methods.

Understand locked fields

When a field requires Pro or an extension that is not available, the catalog can display it as an upgrade or unavailable option. Activating Kali Forms Pro does not automatically make every extension-owned field available; the relevant extension must also be enabled.

Availability can change between product versions and plans. Check the current license and extension status if a field shown in this guide is locked in your installation.
